I have yet to start blogging insight to this blog yet, but it will come. In fact this post is in fact the beginning. I’ve been quite overloaded, but I still see the obvious advantage of having this site as a place to cultivate my next project. I’m currently working on a project for, let’s say a seriously large market player in the internet travel industry. My task is to craft a solution that they can use to extend the consulting services that they currently offer to their major clients. This has not been an easy task, since it’s involved a very steep learning curve and quite a lot of late nights of deep research and thoughtful practice.
I experienced a ‘Eureka’ moment earlier this evening. I had been trying to solve several problems using a typical and technologically sound approach. I’d researched many blogs, yet found little answers, or those that I found, seemed to be going about it all wrong. Then I decided to reverse the situation and see if a little change in perspective would help me out. I’d being trying to pull data from Google Analytics, via the construction of an API and feed data into different places. I’d also being trying to find data from multiple domains into a single Google Analytics Account. By reversing the situation, I have come up with a solution that solves both problems very easily and requires much less implementation time.
