Recently I wrote to Eric Peterson from WebAnalyticsDemystified to congratulate him on the merger with Aquent and to ask some advice of the possibility to combine multiple domains in a single analytics application, (this is for the project we are working on at the moment). He offered to introduce me to a popular Web Analytics company in Brussels, called OX2. This was very kind of him, of course, as I recently found out that he recently formed a partnership with this company.
What this highlights is the increasing interest for global cooperation to share knowledge and experience. Their respective positions on the Pacific Coast and the European Capital make any normal partnership seem unwise, but with companies adopting globalization at ever increasing doses this make acute sense in that you can combine the benefits of bleeding edge developments on the West coast of the US with subtle integrations of the European capital. Obviously Eric and WebAnalyticsDemystified have a clear strategy of knowledge growth and shared learning. Let’s hope that other companies will follow this example and not only in online activities.
