Time for a little ‘Community Hustling’

As many of you know, the web is growing up and quite quickly too. Many of you will have profile on MySpace, Facebook, Bebo or LinkedIn. This is not uncommon to have so many associations to so many different communities. This is what is I would call community building. Many people turn to these websites also as a form of channel marketing of themselves or something they may be promoting. I would almost called this community hustling, as you are trying to convince people to spend time on your website or consider whatever it is you’re promoting through the strength of the community.

It’s actually a very good idea, since your voice reaches much farther and is much more traceable than most forms of marketing.

To this effect I spent some time creating a new lens for Think-Train. I used a very smart website called Squidoo an idea created by Seth Godin.

So, please check out my new lens on business intelligence and let me know what you think.
